Collage on Canvas: Beauty in Fragments
In 2024, I was driven to explore new creative territory, which led me to collage. This medium, a celebration of layers, textures, and stories, has transformed my artistic process.
My collage work is an act of reclamation. I assemble disparate materials—including fragments of my own past paintings—to give discarded pieces new life and context. This practice has allowed me to break free from the constraints of a single medium, exploring the interplay of shape and mark in an entirely new way.
For me, collage embodies resilience and the power of reinvention. It is a meditative act of discovery and a tangible reminder that profound beauty can emerge from the most fragmented pieces.
